Last updated: June 2026

American Association of Health Technicians, Inc. ("AAHT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described here.

1.Information We Collect

When you register for a certification, use our website, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name and contact details (email address and phone number);
  • Identity information used to verify you for examinations, including a valid government-issued photo ID (passport or driver's license);
  • Education information, such as confirmation of a qualifying diploma;
  • Payment information, which is processed by our payment provider;
  • Records related to your examinations and certifications, such as exam results and certification status.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process your registration and administer your examination; verify your identity and protect exam integrity; issue, maintain, and verify your certification; create and manage your account record; process payments; send account and certification-related communications, including SMS messages you have opted into; respond to your inquiries and provide support; and comply with legal obligations.

3.Text Message (SMS) Communications

If you opt in through the consent checkbox on our registration form, we will send you SMS messages for informational purposes only — including updates about your account, certification status, and related information. We do not send marketing or promotional sales messages by SMS. You can opt out at any time by following the instructions in our messages.

4.How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our services, including with our testing platform (which administers examinations), our database system (which stores certification records), our SMS provider (which delivers account notifications), and PayPal (which processes payments).

We may also share certification status with affiliated educational or healthcare partners in connection with verifying or confirming a credential, and we may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the integrity of our credentials.

5.Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain certification records, and meet our legal and operational obligations. Certification records may be retained on an ongoing basis so that credentials can be verified.

6.Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7.Your Choices & Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us, subject to our need to retain certain certification records. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time. To make a request, contact info@aah-tech.com.

8.Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9.Third-Party Links & Services

Our website and services may link to or rely on third-party platforms, each with its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
